This work tells a story lost in time, what with the perfect red rose, the ever-present watch hands of time,
and the rotund little teapot. The latter is embossed with a silver bunny, complete with his little umbrella and time-piece.
It is a commentary on the hurriedness of contemporary life, and the silliness of our mad hustling and bustling,
eyes fixed on the hands of the clock. Alice's White Rabbit is, of course, always late, yet always running.
We might infer that "He who lives by the clock is cursed to live a life in which he is forever late.
" Which is to say, "Stop to smell the roses!"
